Wandering in Ueno & Shibuya

The rain started in Tokyo last night as we made our way home from the metro, so we had to postpone our visit to Hakone till tomorrow. In the morning we went to the National Museum of Nature and Science to stay out of the drizzle. Lots of dinosaur bones, fossils and loud (but very cute) school kids. When we came back out into Ueno Park the rain had stopped and we wandered thru the park back to our hotel in Nezu. (Graphy Nezu, highly recommended!)
Our afternoon was spent in Shibuya, where we had an amazing dinner in a little basement restaurant. Lots of dark timber, low tables and amaaaazing food (the best pork belly I’ve ever had). We sat up on a mezzanine area with a super low ceiling which was pretty cool.
After tea we wandered around Shibuya where we spotted a guy with 8 cats in a pram! Last time we were here a guy had a pet monkey in his jacket. Back home via Harajuku again. Probably too much walking again today!! Off to Hakone tomorrow.
