Yokohama Daytrip

Friday we headed down to Yokohama. We arrived to some sort of event happening with a brass band and mascots running around – something to do with safety patrol?? No idea, but it was cool.
Beautiful sunny day, we went up the Landmark Tower, amazing 360 degrees views, spotted Tokyo Sky Tree but just a little too hazy to see Mt Fuji.
Next stop Cup Noodle Museum!! We made our own Cup Noodles (drew on the cups and chose the flavours and the ladies sealed them up for us). The guy that invented them was pretty interesting, his inventions revolutionised the instant food industry. Had lunch in a noodle bazaar where you can try different noodles from around the world. Much more interesting than we thought it would have been.
I’d definitely like to go back to Yokohama as there was a lot of cool looking stuff that we didn’t get to do.
Currently updating this from a Starbucks in Nihombashi – iced chai latte in the sun with free wifi, couldn’t ask for more 😉
