We’re actually back in Melbourne but I still need to blog about our last 5 days in Osaka!
We arrived to some very hot weather in Osaka – around 30 degrees every day, but the humidity was the worst! I think that really took away the last of our energy so we didn’t do a hell of a lot when we first got there, just wandered around and browsed shopping arcades.
On Thursday night we went up the Umeda Sky Building. The open observatory is on a platform between the 2 towers and has a 360degree view of the city. It was a bit hazy so it was good to go up at night because the lights were cool, and they also have UV lights in the floor to look like stars. Afterwards we headed back to the area we stayed in and stumbled across an amazing little restaurant. We got yakisoba with pork and avocado and a delicious little octopus and mushroom dish. It was sooo good!!
Osaka is a little but grimier than other parts of Japan, but we slowly got used to that.
