We got tattooed in Seoul!

Prior to the trip, I had thought it would be cool to get tattooed while we were away. Upon googling, I read things like “TATTOOS ARE ILLEGAL IN SOUTH KOREA” or “the tattooist has to have a doctorate”? Or something, I don’t know,  but it all seemed ridiculous anyway, and from the blogs I read they made it seem like it was hard to get tattooed in Korea. So I somewhat shelved that idea. Flash forward to actually being in Seoul, we go to Hongdae and see a sign saying “₩50,000 tattoos” (that’s around $50), we go have dinner then within a few hours we both have new tattoos. Well, that wasn’t so hard!

So what did we get? We got matching anchors on our thumbs! Why anchors? I don’t know, they look cool. The original studio we saw had closed after dinner so we went to a cafe for a while, and discovered there was another studio 2 doors down that was still open (it was 10pm by then). So up we went, the dude found us a cool anchor, sized them to fit each of us and then it was tattoo time!

Super fresh!

Cheesy but we were on a boat at the War Memorial of Korea, we had to do it!

It also makes these kinda photos fun! A pretty leaf in Kanazawa.

We went to TATTOO MAIN in Hongdae – the guys were really nice, I would recommend them!
